After a hard day of convincing inflated egos about why they should be joining the organization that you work for, the last thing that you want to do is pick up a call from an old batch mate whom you don’t really like. There is always a huge gap between what they teach you in class and what you actually end up learning on the job. For some reason text books always end up promoting that HR is an entity unto itself. While the world rejoices in the fact that Jet Airways has taken back the retrenched employees I'd like all my fellow HR people to spare a thought for the HR guys at Jet who would probably be the only outlet that the employees would have to vent thier ire.
