The Murky truth of Office Politics
Office Politics. That necessary evil without which people feel that existence is not possible in an office environment. A kind of drug that corrupts and corrupts absolutely. Ethics?Values? Are you speaking in Greek by any chance?
People play games, and then get entangled in their own webs. They get stuck in their own convoluted lies.
What lies beneath is a basic human need - security. The feeling of being secure when threatened spawns enough venom to destroy any sense of self that may exist within. And then begins a vicious cycle of undercutting and backbiting that utimately becomes a zero sum game.
The struggle for supremacy does not give any one any thing, because at the end of the day you might win but when u rest (and u will rest) someone younger, hungrier and more vicious will come along.
Moral of the story - stay out of politics.
